Diego De Rosa - Bief Bio
I am currently a contractor at ESA/Estec with Rhea System, working as System Engineer in the frame of the European Transportation and Human Exploration Preparatory Activities programme. I provide support on GNC systems for Entry Descent and Landing and rendezvous, in the frame of phase A/B mission studies and technology development activities.
Past work
I hold a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering (University La Sapienza, Rome) on a Study for the Development of an Optical Sensor for Relative Navigation and Rendezvous, which I applied to develop a software tool (RDV MON) for the monitoring of the rendezvous of the Automated Transfer Vehicle with the ISS, as a Young Graduate Trainee (in CNES Toulouse) and as a consultant with Booz Allen Hamilton.
I worked at Dipartimento di Ingegneria Aerospaziale e Astronautica on Image Processing applications for space (determination of lunar libration based on Smart-1 images, change detection analysis of multi-temporal satellite images for GMOSS) and GNC design and simulation (Satellite Attitude Control Simulator for the Space Avionics Laboratory)
